What I write:
|
Style: Semi-Fictional means my stories are fictional stories that contain some truth. When needed I mix science, religion, spiritual, life experience, theology, and some biology together to form a story. As a result, my books present fictional stories based on Bible verses and narratives that may or may not be altogether true. Do not mistake these for Sunday School lessons, they are far from that.
Different: I look at a Bible verse or passage and ask questions. Questions that step outside traditional teaching, whether implied or specifically stated traditional teaching. For example, "The Migdal Journals" is a story about T-Ray and a mysterious journal that leads him to Paul the business owner constructing a miniature tower of Babel. The Tower of Babel is a story from the Old Testament. Paul believes the purpose of the tower was to tap into an element that would have provided the builders with unlimited power and knowledge, an element that would make them godlike. The book is laced with scientific facts that support not only the story but the Bible narrative. Faith: I've always struggled with the current understanding of faith. The traditionally accepted definition of faith is, having belief and trust without evidence. Due to events in my life, for me to believe in something without proof is near, if not, impossible. Something seemed off about our understanding of faith. In my quest to understand faith I discovered a Third Element that is missing from our current understanding. As a result, I wrote "Pistis the Third Element". The story is about Brea, an archeologist, who time travels searching for a missing piece of a Roman shield. In her quest to find the missing piece she discovers the Third Element. The word Pistis is the Greek word for faith. Current book projects: The second book in the Pistis trilogy: Pistis the Third Element Volume 2 Discovery, is now complete and will be published soon. Volume 2 of "The Migdal Journals" is coming along nicely. I've started gathering information for another book based on the word Soul! Possible titles "The Essense of Humanity." or "Soul Seeker". One of the main characters will be Carrie a physicist working at Ferma Lab in Batavia IL. Looks like it will have something to do with the quantum world. Some of my readers ask if the stories are true and from real life experiences. I hope that is an indication I'm doing my job as an author. Feel free to contact me and ask questions. Bear in mind my stories are at their core fiction which allows me the freedom to color outside the box. Terry |
